The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce is proud to service Lewisburg, Chapel Hill, Cornersville and Petersburg.  The Chamber of Commerce is conveniently located in Lewisburg one block off of the square and is known as the "arm of the community".  The Chamber hosts a variety of community events throughout the year.

Marshall County is located in the middle of Southern Tennessee, with six other counties completely surrounding its borders.  Formed in  1836 from a portion of each of the six counties and with Lewisburg as its county seat, Marshall was established for the citizens who were inconvenienced by the long travel to the county courthouse when there was a need to pay taxes, conduct their legal affairs or express their thoughts about the county government.  Marshall County has demonstrated strong ties to state government and three former governors due to its close proximity to the state capitol in Nashville.  Currently representing Marshall County in the House of Representatives, 92nd District is Rick Tillis.  Representing Marshall County in the senate, is Jim Tracy.

For years the county has governed with an elected chair from an 18-member county commission.  The county mayor and the elected officials serving in county offices alongside now oversees the daily operations.

County offices are located in the Courthouse, Courthouse Annex and Hardison Office Annex.
